According to reports, the main raw material of paper glass is the cellulose contained in the pulp: the cellulose is first processed into a film, and then the surface of the paper is coated with a layer of real glass raw material, which is related to the moisture contained in cellulose. And the reaction of moisture in the air, and the formation of glass film on the surface of cellulose, the final generation is a new type of paper glass material.

Compared with traditional paper cutlery, "paper glass" cutlery has many advantages. First of all, the surface coating of the “paper glass” tableware is completely impervious to water, and even if any liquid is stored for a long time, it will not seep or leak. Second, its heat resistance is much better than paper cups, and it can even withstand the high heat of the microwave for up to 3 minutes. And its strength is 10 times stronger than paper cutlery. It can be said that "paper glass" combines the advantages of both paper and glass.

"Paper glass" tableware can be as clear and translucent as real glass tableware, and it can also be made of translucent cutlery similar to glass stockings by adding oil to cellulose. In addition, various colored tableware can be processed by dyeing cellulose, making the table colorful and luxurious.

The biggest difference between "paper glass" and real glass is that the former can burn, while the latter must be heated to dissolve. This feature of "paper glass" has very positive practical significance for environmental protection. Originally, the “paper glass” tableware can be easily incinerated after being used. It will not produce harmful substances when it is burned. If it is buried as garbage, it will be quickly absorbed by the soil. If the paper components are filtered out, the recycled paper can be used again. In addition, in addition to manufacturing cutlery, "paper glass" is also particularly suitable for the manufacture of medical devices.
