4.5 The printed sheet surface must not have any scratches (anti-smudge mechanism) The scratches on the surface of the printed sheet are caused by the contact between the surface and other parts during the delivery process. Therefore, the way to avoid scratches is to suspend the printed sheets in the air during the entire collection process. Generally, a special anti-smudge mechanism is installed at the delivery location, as shown in Figure 4.7. Due to the weight of the paper itself, it will naturally sag and rub against the slanting plate below. To keep it out of contact, there must be a device to resist its natural sag. The current method is to blow air under the paper (so-called anti-smudge mechanism) to form a pressure difference, forcing the printed sheet to float. In fact, after the speed of the machine is increased, the possibility of smudging is less. Because the speed of the forward direction of the printed sheet is increased, and the natural sagging speed is the same as the original, but the time is shortened, and it is possible to cross the sloping plate part faster (of course, if it rubs against each other, it will rub even more).
