However, the penetration rate of child safety seats in China is now only about 10%.

  As the world's largest producer of child safety seats, China is a small consumer of child safety seats. According to the survey data of the 2016 China Blueprint for Children's Road Traffic Safety, the average occupancy rate of child safety seats in Beijing, Qingdao, Dalian, Harbin, Changsha, Xiamen, Nanjing and Ningbo is 41.10%, and the average frequency of use is 80.91%. The corresponding child safety seat utilization rate is 33.26%. As far as the whole country is concerned, the average usage rate of child safety seats in China is less than 5%, which is quite different from the situation in which the developed countries use more than 90%. At present, the use of child safety seats is mandatory in as many as 96 countries around the world.
