Glass etching screen printing

Glass etching screen printing

For a long time, glass products were etched and decorated by first applying a layer of hot-smeared wax and other reinforcing materials on the surface of the glass as a resist layer, and then using the needles, knives, etc. to etch the pattern on the coating, exposing The glass surface is then etched with hydrofluoric acid at this location. This process continues to this day, there are still manufacturers in the application, but its processing methods are time-consuming, laborious and inefficient.

The silk screen etching process makes the etching and decoration of glass products simple, time-saving, and labor-saving. The etching screen of glass has two methods: hot printing and cold printing.

Thermoplastic etching screen printing is the preparation of paraffin wax, asphalt, stearic acid and other adhesives, adding a small amount of anti-corrosion powder modulation anti-corrosion printing material, through the hot-printed silk screen, according to the design of the printed material scraped to the glass The surface forms a resist film. The part of the resist film exposed to glass is the pattern that needs to be etched. The etching is performed with hydrofluoric acid. After etching, the resist printed on the glass is rinsed with boiling water.

Glass stencil etching can also be done using cold stamping. Anti-corrosion printing material can use special asphalt paint and anti-corrosion powder, and also can buy commercially available anti-corrosion ink. After the printing is completed, the hydrofluoric acid corrosion can be performed until the resist film is completely dried.

Hot stamping is suitable for the etching of two-sided continuous and four-sided continuous pattern patterns, and cold printing is suitable for the etching of individual patterns.

Glass ice silk screen printing

Ice flower commonly known as orange peel, it is actually a very small low-melting glass particles. The fine glass particles have high lead content, and are colored and colorless. The color hue is red, yellow, blue, green, white, etc., and the intermediate tone can also be prepared.

Screen printing ice decoration, elegant and elegant, mostly used for architectural decoration and art glass decoration, such as advanced glassware, lamps and other decorations.

Screen printing glass ice decoration, first in the glass surface silk screen color or colorless glass flux layer (flux), and then sprinkle ice particles on the glass flux layer, through the 500 ~ 590 °C sintering, so that the glass surface The solvent layer and the ice flower particle layer are co-melted to create an embossed effect. For example, if the silk screen is printed with a colored flux, and the ice stain is transparent, the molten layer of the glass ice pattern will fade by the high temperature eutectic, and a transparent, embossed relief pattern will be formed on the glass surface.

Frosted screen printing of glass

Frosting is on the glass product, adhering a certain area of glass glaze powder, after high temperature baking at 580-600°C, the glass glaze powder coating is melted on the glass surface, and presents a different color from the glass body. A decorative method. Adhesive glass glaze powder can be brushed with a brush or rolled with a rubber roller.

Through screen printing, you can get a frosted surface of the hollow pattern. The method is: on the surface of the glass product, a pattern of a pattern formed by a flux is screen printed. After the pattern pattern to be printed is dried, the frosted surface is processed again. Then, after high-temperature baking, the frosted surface without the pattern pattern is melted on the glass surface, and the surface of the screen printing pattern cannot be melted on the glass surface due to the effect of the fluxing agent. After the baking, the transparent hollow pattern is revealed through the translucent sand surface, forming a special decorative effect. Frosted screen printing flux, composed of iron oxide, talcum powder, clay, etc., was ground with a ball mill and had a fineness of 350 mesh. It was reconciled with an adhesive before screen printing.

Screen printing ion exchange coloring of glass

The tinted glass can be obtained by exchanging sodium ions in the silver with the glass, and then reducing it to a metallic colloid. In the transparent glass plate, only the portion to be colored was printed with the screen ink containing silver ions. After the firing, only the printed portion turned from yellow to brown. Different burning conditions will change the tone and concentration. Since there is no reflection difference between the uncolored portion and the colored portion, there is no unnatural feeling at all, just as the glass is melt-colored. The coloration of the characters and marks on the glass and the heat-resistance of the rear window glass of the car, as well as the brown color of the graduated cylinders for chemical experiments, were obtained in this way.

The screen printing ink (printing material) of this decoration process is mostly composed of silver carbonate, copper sulfate (burned powder), iron oxide, talc powder, etc., and a small amount of zinc powder is used as a catalyst.

Silk screen contact control panel

In designing a microwave oven temperature program, a switch combined with a microwave type computer is generally used. This type of switch is different from a normal mechanical switch. It is a switch printed on a glass plate. It has no moving parts, no unevenness, and is very smooth. It is easy to remove and can be opened and closed by touching it with your hand. The surface of the control panel is covered with a conductive film, and the periphery thereof is screen-printed with a ceramic ink for decoration and character display. Its advantages are resistance to mechanical wear, chemical resistance, and easy decontamination. In addition, in order to color the glass during the design, the organic paint can be printed on the back surface. Since the back surface cannot be directly contacted, the durability is strong, and the selection of the ink is also large.

Glass surface matting screen printing

The matte ink on the glass surface is printed on the soda-lime glass with a screen printing plate and washed with water several minutes later. The effect is like brown glass. The hydrofluoric acid used in the etching of glass is generally dangerous. The matting ink does not contain strong acid and the operation is relatively simple. The extinction effect and etching are similar.

Electrothermal defogging device screen printing

In order to prevent the condensation of water vapor in the rear window glass of automobiles, more and more electrothermal demister devices have been printed. The screen printing method is to apply silver paste to a line on a smooth glass and fire the glass while bending the glass. When the back window fogs, let the lines heat up through the current, increase the temperature of the glass surface, and evaporate water vapor.

When this electrothermal defogging device is energized, some automobiles are not automatically switched on by manual switching, but are automatically powered off. The sensors of this automatic device are screen-printed on the sheet glass with zigzag electrodes, and then covered with a layer of moisture-sensitive body, and automatically control power-on and power-off by using changes in humidity.

LCD screen printing element

The liquid crystal digital display element is made by sealing two thin glass plates spaced at intervals of about 10 μm, injecting liquid crystals, and sealing the injection ports. On these two glass surfaces, the silk screen is printed with an "8"-shaped transparent electrically conductive film. This "8" word consists of 7 parts. The voltage can be partially increased to display the 10 numbers 0-9. The process of fabricating the "8" pattern is first performed on the glass with the entire electrically conductive film, and the "8"-shaped portion is screen-printed with an acid-resistant ink and then etched with an acid to remove the unprinted portion. The conductive membrane.

Screen printing of light reflectors

The light reflector is a kind of screen printing material that is reflected by the front light or other light of the automobile and the object to be irradiated is reflected in the direction of the light source without being affected by the angle of irradiation or the weather. Reflected are hollow glass particles with a diameter of about 40 μm, and other parts have a reflective layer. Its flexible sheet-like support has an adhesive layer on its surface. A reflection layer is generally provided on the acrylic resin plate, and the reflection layer is formed by adding a certain amount of hollow glass particles with a transparent resin and printing by a screen printing method. The number of meshes, the number of holes (opening degree), and the type of hollow glass particles should be carefully selected during printing, and the hollow glass particles are regular.

This type of printing is used for various signs, commercials, etc. so that it can be confirmed in dark places. In addition, printing for road signs, air route signs, lifesaving appliances, safety helmets, etc. can also be considered.
