Persist in jogging for 1 hour per week and increase life expectancy by 6 years

According to a new study, persistent weekly jogging can increase the life expectancy of male and female participants by 6.2 years and 5.6 years, respectively. Adhere to 1-2.5 hours of jogging per week, the greatest health gains.

The new study is a subproject of Denmark's Copenhagen City Heart Research Project (CCHS). This cardiovascular study began in 1976 with the study of about 20,000 men and women of 20-93 years of age. In the comparative study, the scientists investigated the jogging status of 1,116 male participants and 762 female participants, including information on the running speed and the distance of jogging per week. In the 35-year follow-up survey, the researchers found a total of 10,158 participants who had never jogged and 122 joggers to die. This result shows that the risk of death for joggers decreased by 44%.

The research results “concluded” past rumors that “jogging is harmful to health” with conclusive evidence. The study has analyzed and analyzed 750 relevant research papers, and initially explored the relationship between longevity and different forms of exercise and other factors.

This research result poses a challenge to many early studies. Early studies have questioned whether jogging is good for health or harmful health. Some studies suggest that older people in their 70s can start jogging exercises, but many middle-aged people have already developed a keen interest in jogging. However, reports of sudden deaths during running have raised concerns about the health of the "Jogging crisis." Media reports once believed that jogging was too strong for middle-aged people. However, the latest research results show that this worry is purely redundant.
