Maison 203, an Italian design company known for its innovative 3D printed jewelry, has unveiled its first full 3D printed handbag called "Armure." Designed by the acclaimed Odo Fiorvanti, who has won prestigious awards such as the Compasso d’Oro and the German Design Award, this unique piece draws inspiration from the natural form of pine cones. The design features smooth, rounded elements that seem to float around a central sphere, creating a striking visual effect reminiscent of a delicate pine cone.
The handbag is crafted using advanced SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) technology combined with nylon 3D printing. Each component is separated by thin gaps, giving the surface an elegant and eye-catching texture. A lightweight chain allows it to be worn on the shoulder, while a hidden magnetic closure adds both functionality and sophistication. The result is a stylish accessory that not only holds your essentials securely but also serves as a beautiful, seamless ornament.
Fiorvanti described the two-layer design as creating a deep, three-dimensional effect. The slightly flexible discs enhance the bag’s structure, which inspired the name "Armure," meaning "armor" in French.
