For modern steel drum manufacturing technology to be further improved, it is necessary to study and implement the generalization of steel drum manufacturing machinery, and organize technical research on the following major technical key issues that are currently hindering the continuous improvement of barrel technology.

The traditional special steel drum manufacturing machinery that is still in use at home and abroad has not been able to meet the needs of the modern production mode of "small and medium batch, multi-variety". The market demand for steel drums is constantly changing. Facing such a market, the only way to achieve the universalization of barrel-making machinery. The technical key lies in setting up necessary adjustment links, and using PC programmable advantages to quickly adjust the working position, working size, working pressure, movement speed and cycle program and other functional parameters of the power part to adapt to as many steel drums as possible Manufacturing specifications. The main topics are the combined forming technology and equipment for barrel body hemming, corrugation and ring ribs, flexible stamping production lines for the top and bottom of the barrel, adjustable universal hemming machines, and flexible milling machines, rounding machines, and pre-rollers Development of general-purpose steel drum manufacturing machinery such as glue spraying machine, leak testing machine, necking machine, and cone expanding machine. In this way, 20 liters, 25 liters, 35 liters, 50 liters, 80 liters, 100 liters, 140 liters, 200 liters, 208 liters, etc. as stipulated in the GB325 "Steel Drum" series of national standards can be carried out on a flexible production line, and International standard series such as 20 gallon, 55 gallon and other automatic production of closed and open steel drums realize the universalization of barrel-making machinery.

The matching of the forming precision of the barrel body and the stamping precision of the top and bottom of the barrel is the key to the use of the barrel squeeze and folding technology to replace the currently used rolling and folding process at home and abroad, so that the processing precision of the barrel body is The rolling ± 0.51mm is increased to ± 0.1mm, which matches the cold stamping accuracy (± 0.1mm) of the top and bottom of the barrel, which provides the basis for the core technology of steel drum manufacturing-high sealing strength crimping.

The sealing strength of the barrel body and the top and bottom of the steel barrel after crimping and sealing is the most important technical index for steel barrel manufacturing. To this end, it is necessary to solve the idealization problem of multi-circular combination curves, involute curves, Archimedes spirals and other non-circular curves that have plagued the domestic and foreign steel drum industries for many years, and establish a functional model and experimental basis of the ideal deformation curve to achieve Three-layer and seven-layer round hemming with high sealing strength of steel drum. At the same time, it is necessary to study how to select the main shaft speed of the crimping machine and the feeding speed of the crimping power head according to the changes of the material, material thickness and barrel diameter of the processed steel drum, so as to obtain a stable crimping quality.

Aiming at the biggest noise and dust pollution source in the barrel making equipment at home and abroad, the edging machine, a thorough technological revolution must be carried out to develop the milling machine to replace the milling with milling. The technical key lies in how to make the barrel-making plate with a thickness of about 1mm can withstand the milling force without damage.

The application of hydraulic transmission in steel drum machinery is of great significance for improving its technical performance. The design and effectiveness analysis of the anti-interference centralized control hydraulic system of multi-power components adapted to the complex working conditions of barrel-making machinery is an important subject of this application.

Compared with similar equipment of German LEIFELD company, the generalized barrel-making machinery can expand the processing range by 12 times, save equipment investment by 6.7 times, reduce equipment maintenance workload by 2/3, reduce operator by 2/3, and improve processing accuracy by 4 times. 30% noise reduction, reducing high-level dust pollution to close to zero. Practice has proved that the generalization of barrel-making machinery is the direction of modern steel barrel-making machinery.
