March 12, 2007—Eizo Nanao Corporation ("EIZO") introduced two widescreen LCD displays, the 21.1-inch FlexScan S2111W and the 24.1-inch FlexScan S2411W. Both models use EIZO's technology developed for EIZO TV1 to make dynamic images sharper and sharper. Both models have a video playback function with a large screen size and a widescreen format and are ideal for editing images, DTP, 3D-CAD, and watching DVDs. The widescreen format provides a 16:10 aspect ratio (the native resolutions of the S2111W and S2411W are 1680 × 1050 and 1920 × 1200, respectively), compared to displays with the same screen size and a 4:3 aspect ratio Large horizontal space. Brightness up to 450 cd/m2, horizontal and vertical viewing angles all reach 178°.
Both the FlexScan S2111W and the FlexScanS2411W offer 14-bit color processing for accurate grayscale rendering, particularly in dark areas and shaded areas. The OSD menu includes gamma, saturation, hue, gain, and color temperature adjustments. Supports independent six-color manipulation, setting the hue and saturation of colors such as red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow.
